Kimberly Hammer, VMD

Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Small Animal Internal Medicine

Dr. Hammer is a native New Englander who did her undergraduate degree at Tufts University. She was transplanted to the Philadelphia area for veterinary school in 1996 and never left.  She graduated University of Pennsylvania 2000, spent a year at Mississippi State University for a small animal rotating internship and returned to University of Pennsylvania for small animal internal medicine residency. She achieved board certification in small animal veterinary internal medicine in 2004.  She then settled into private referral practice for 20 years where she not only practiced internal medicine, but her curiosity led her to running the volunteer blood bank and establishing an interventional radiology and endoscopy program.  With15 years of ultrasound experience and 20 years of internal medicine experience, she now brings these skills to our practice.  When not puzzling over complex cases, she can be found on the slopes snowboarding, at the shore, at a Flyers game, or traveling.
