After graduating from Tufts University of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, Dr. Josh completed a small animal rotating internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in 2005. Dr. Josh then completed his residency at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in 2008 and became a board-certified specialist in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in 2009.
Diagnostic ultrasound has been part of Dr. Josh’s clinical role throughout his career, and these previous experiences all led him to be able to help patients the most as a mobile ultrasound practitioner and consultant for difficult to manage cases.
Dr. Josh also holds a current position on the NJVMA Executive board, as well as works with the NJVMA task force for continuing education, the NJVMA legislative committee, and is the lead for the opioid epidemic task force, all of which enable him to be an advocate for the health and safety of pets in New Jersey and the improvement and security of the veterinary profession.

He has enjoyed his responsibilities in a variety of roles over the course of his career:
- Helping to launch the residency program at OSVS
- Becoming the first Emergency and Critical Care specialist in a busy and growing emergency and specialty practice in central New Jersey
- Moving on to an Emergency Director position in northern New Jersey,
- Progressing to Medical Director charged with the startup and growth of the first satellite practice for a large emergency, specialty and referral hospital.
